The Foshan Qiuse Parade 2014, and the Four Famous Chinese Historical Towns Development Forum
The annual Foshan Traditional Folk Festival, which includes the Foshan Qiuse Parade, came to a successful close on November 9. As with previous years, Lingnan Tiandi lent its full support to the Foshan Government in organizing these events. As one of the 'four famous Chinese Historical towns', Foshan worked with the other three towns Jingde, Zhuxian, Hankou, to organize this exciting event for visitors, which also featured colorful floats sponsored by local companies from each of the four towns – a first for Lingnan Tiandi. The activities were imbued with the classic style of Lingnan and Foshan’s autumnal cultural traditions.
While the parade was in full swing, the “Four Famous Chinese Historical Towns Development Forum” was also under way at the Marco Polo Lingnan Tiandi Foshan on November 8. The theme of the forum this year was “Famous Town Brands and Urban Value”. Representatives from Foshan in Guangdong Province, Jingde in Jiangxi Province, Hankou in Hubei Province and Zhuxian in Henan Province gathered at the hotel to discuss cooperative strategies for the contemporary development of these ancient towns. Mr. Joe Zou, the General Manager of China Xintiandi Foshan Project, attended the seminar as a representative of companies in Foshan and gave a speech on 'innovation and the future of famous ancient towns and urban industry'.
