The Hub Launching China’s First Ever Shopping Complex Check-In Service with China Eastern Airlines
On October 30, The Hub and China Eastern Airlines signed The Hub – China Eastern Remote Check-In Airline Cooperative Framework Agreement, officially launching the first remote check-in service to become available in a shopping complex in China. The agreement will see China Eastern Airlines’ remote check-in counters installed on Level One of the Hub shopping complex. The counters will enhance passengers' travel experience by allowing them to deposit their luggage and check in while enjoying the amenities on offer at The Hub.
The scheme draws upon the well-established models provided by Central in Hong Kong and Japan's Shinjuku district. The Hub facilities will include an 800-square meter ticket check-in area as well as a 70 square-meter luggage holding area, baggage inspection room and ticket sales desk. The Hub will also install automatic machines to allow passengers to check in faster.
