Chongqing Tiandi Christmas Lighting Ceremony

On November 28, Chongqing Tiandi held its Christmas Lighting Ceremony. The event was attended by senior officials from the Yuzhong District Government, members of the media, and guests from the public. The evening also saw Chongqing Tiandi transformed into a “petting zoo” in which children were allowed to interact with and photograph a selection of animals such as sheep, elk and emus. During the event, a parade of puppet lambs marched through the venue, spreading joy and warmth through the audience, which proved a huge hit amongst adults and kids alike.
The official unveiling of the 2014 Chongqing Tiandi Lighting Ceremony was accompanied by the lovable sheep and their little buddies. Mr. Timothy Wu, General Manager of China Xintiandi Chongqing Project gave a speech during the opening ceremony in which he introduced all the events to look forward to next year at Chongqing Tiandi, and wished everyone a happy Christmas. Mr. Wu and government officials of Yuzhong District then took part in an official countdown, accompanied by all guests, and Chongqing Tiandi was instantly illuminated. The evening then culminated in a stunning fireworks display.
