THE HUB: China’s First Transportation Oriented Complex Started Counting Down to Its Soft Opening
On June 25, 2015, THE HUB held a gathering for new tenants and media, and announced the latest status of tenants’ signing up and the prospect on future development for the first time. It was a milestone for THE HUB since the launch of its office buildings, symbolizing that Hongqiao Business District would enter into a new period for development. With the trial operation of the district already in full swing, THE HUB will lead the way in offering a new style of business and leisure in the Greater Hongqiao Commercial Area, and be a new landmark of entertainment in West Shanghai.
So far, THE HUB has been tremendously successful in attracting tenants: the office building occupancy rate reaches around 80%, with Fortune 500 companies moving in, such as Shell and Roche Diagnostics. At the same time, THE HUB Shopping Mall and Xintiandi Pedestrian Street will also attract an influx of over 300 brands, including a variety of premium flagship stores as well as concept stores. Business patterns will cover dining, parenting, lifestyle, leisure and entertainment. In addition, THE HUB will partner with Savour, a Singaporean food festival, and the renowned Festival of Lights from Lyon, France to bring world-class events and refreshing consumption experiences to Shanghai and even to consumers in the Yangtze River Delta region.
