Fête des Lumières Lighting up Lingnan Tiandi, LUMIÈRES CHINA Illustrating the Beauty of City

From Dec. 12, 2015 to Jan. 11, 2016, Foshan Lingnan Tiandi, together with Lyon Festival of Lights lights up “LUMIÈRES CHINA”. At the opening ceremony on the night of December 12, French artists Christophe Mayer and Jean Marc Jolivet demonstrated their works at Foshan. “LUMIÈRES CHINA” at Lingnan Tiandi presents five distinct light art works, including two of most popular works from Lyon Festival of Lights: “Bamboo” created by French artists Christopher Mayer and Jean Marc Jolivet, and “Heart Beat Harmony, Together in a Big Heart” created by Laurent Lettrée and Nathalie Delpech. There are also works created by famous domestic artists especially for Foshan, including “Jidao” and “Shunlang” by Fang Jing and Hu Wenyuan, and “Niaolongzhen” by Liu Weiyi. These art works not only reflect artists’ feelings about culture in Foshan, but also demonstrate the convergence of oriental and western culture at Lingnan Tiandi. All art works are distributed around Tiandi Square, Marketplace, Haagen-Dazs store, Central Plaza and North Zhonglou in Lingnan Tiandi showing the city of light within this month.
