3D Printing Art Workshop Leads 3D Trend
Shanghai Xintiandi, the well-known fashion landmark of Shanghai, teamed up with Mamou-Mani, the renowned English architecture firm, to bring together cutting-edge technology and art in a 3D art printing workshop in Xintiandi Style, from September 25 through October 12, which also kicked off the “Xtyle You 2014, Shanghai Xintiandi Autumn & Winter Fashion Season”. During the workshop, the participants created an art installation with nearly one hundred creative works printed with the 3D technology. The installation was displayed at the center of the second floor of Xintiandi Style, giving visitors the chance to experience this cutting-edge technology first-hand.
Shanghai Xintiandi also used this opportunity to cooperate with the Tencent Charitable Foundation and the China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation (CFPA) to support the public welfare program “Love Package”. Netizens who donated to the cause could participate in the 3D art printing workshop and receive a personalized 3D art work with the donor’s name printed on it.
