2014 Xintiandi World Music Festival held in four cities across China
The 2014 Xintiandi World Music Festival brought together performances from a diverse group of national and international folk artists from across the world. Organized from May 31 to June 8, the festival was the first corporate event of China Xintiandi which toured around cities of Shanghai, Wuhan, Chongqing and Foshan.
Inspired by the idea of a “Boutique Festival”, organizers placed emphasis on interactivity. Six bands from five countries performed. Advanced audio equipment and a world-class Japanese tuning team ensured high audio standards across all four cities.
The festival created an innovative outdoor public art and cultural space and included performances by Dark Lake, Nathalie Natiembe and Spanish band La Pegatina, among others.
