“Queen of the Crime” Art Exhibition Launches at Xintiandi Style
On May 15th, the Queen of the Crime art exhibition opened at Shanghai Xintiandi Style. The exhibition will explore its theme on the figure of Agatha Christie (1890- 1976), the famous British female detective novelist and playwright, for over a month.
Agatha Christie, the “Queen of Deduction”, created the “English village murder mystery” school of mystery writing. Her most famous works include such well- known novels as “Murder on the Orient Express” and “Death on the Nile.” The art exhibition will present realistic recreations of classic scenes from her detective novel masterpieces such as “Murder on the Orient Express”, “And Then There Were None”, and “Dumb Witness,” and will display seven incredibly valuable exhibits of real-life objects associated with Christie, including a selection of her manuscripts, a 1945 manual for “The Mousetrap,” as well as props from her stage shows. Shanghai Xintiandi will explore the secrets behind the mysterious queen of crime together with each of our visitors.
